We really enjoyed our stay! The rooms and Inn are beautiful and decorated to a high standard throughout! The whole hotel is dog friendly, the room had a dog bed, food and water bowls and a lovely doggy hamper! A Good thing is that the dog friendly rooms opened onto the outdoors which is great for late night and early morning wee walks! The hotel staff were really friendly and attentive! We would def stay again when passing through and will recommend to friends!

A real gem! We stayed for two nights. I had a broken foot so the reservations team worked their magic and moved me to a more accessible room with a free upgrade as well. The room was stunning at The Wheatsheaf inn, and they catered for our two doggies as well. The bed was comfy and the room was spotless. Location was great a short drive away from all the other stunning places there is to visit. All the Staff were lovely and helpful. They had a great deal on the pub food too .

Lovely pub and restaurant and fully recommend. We had a couple of issues in that we are very light sleepers and the bedroom was right on the road, so we’re interrupted by other revellers and road noise. But if you are a normal sleeper this should not affect you. We had a meal in the private dining area, which was lovely, although the large artwork was somewhat distracting and off putting, so some form or modesty coverall is suggested. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and overall, we had a lovely stay and if the above were rectified would give 5/5.

We enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Cotswolds and the biggest highlight was staying at the Wheatsheaf Inn! What a delightful place to stay and enjoy the area! The rooms, dinners, breakfasts, linens and especially the service were just outstanding. The menu was full of delicious choices including Gluten Free options. My favorite was the Scotch Egg with venison (not gf). We will recommend this Inn to all our friends and hope to return soon! Thank you Wheatsheaf for a wonderful visit!

A lovely room (superior) — bed was nicely sized and comfortable, and they kindly offered extra pillows as requested in advance. Bathtub felt luxurious! Liked the touch of coat hooks available by the door. Was impressed by the tea and coffee station — a proper metal kettle (not cheap plastic); lovely Birchall tea; nice homemade allergen free shortbread bites. A Dyson hairdryer was offered, too, which added to the touch of luxury. Room was generally very clean (apart from the dusty radiators and fan sitting in the corner of the room — could be easily rectified). As this was a short weekend "babymoon" / Christmas getaway for us, we really enjoyed relaxing in the room. Food was absolutely amazing. The Sunday roast was such great value for money — beautifully cooked and generous portion size. Well worth the money. I also recommend the brioche bread and butter with bay leaf custard, too — delicious dessert! I was very grateful for the kind accommodations made to some of the meals as per my pregnancy requirements, too. Nothing was too much and the service was excellent. Only slight issue was that it was a tad noisy as our room (no.1) was right by the door to the staircase down to the bar and restaurant — but to be honest, if other guests had been more considerate in not slamming doors or talking loudly as they walked back and forth from their rooms, that may not have been so much of an issue. Overall we would be very happy to return and stay here again. Very impressed and the food and accommodation made for a nice short getaway. Thank you to all at the Wheatsheaf Inn!

We had such a lovely stay with our dog. The staff were all really welcoming on our arrival. We stayed in the Bigger Boutique room which was so comfortable and the bathroom was really great (water pressure was perfect). We were in the restaurant in the evening listening to the live music. The musician was perfect for the time/place and chatted with us throughout his set. The staff were kind and attentive throughout and the evening manager made sure we had everything we needed until late. We booked bed and breakfast so in the morning, went down for our coffee and breakfast which was also lovely. Again, the staff looked after us, right up to our departure (late check out was free of charge as we booked direct) and we were also recommended local pubs and places to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for cosy and comfortable stay in a Cotswold village.

Great pub in a lovely, picturesque village. The restaurant serves great food and the pub is cosy with a fireplace. Rooms were very comfortable and warm despite the snowy weather. Breakfast was really high quality, very tasty! I'm sure we will be back.
